AND THE PUBLIC BE DAMNED

As many are aware I am not an experienced writer. In the beginning I was intimidated by all the rights and wrongs about writing; even commas scared the shit out of me. I was advised by a friend to just sit and type anything. I did just that and after a couple of hours I had typed “anything” 5,000 times. I had almost 1,000 serious words typed regardless of grammar and construction. I stood, scratched my head and wondered out loud if that was all there was to it?

As I continued I became aware of how difficult it was putting words together to make sense. It was a challenge but I stopped worrying about it and told my self – just write like you bullshit. So I have. So when you read my commentaries give this tamale maker a break – I try my best.

Before today’s article which is a story about corruption that goes on between corporations and a crimial government; whether they are tax-breaks, the lack of enforcing laws, the dominance of lobbyists roaming the hallways of Congress, as if they own the joint – they do! As many have said – follow the money. The Court has said money is “free speech” protected by the first Amendment.

I detest the Court for creating new laws based on their ideology . . . Abortion, same-sex marriage, the assault on our 10 Commandments. Our Founding Fathers, in their wisdom, gave us the 9th and 10th Amendments for us to use if and when anything arose not in the Constitution. The aforementioned are examples of the Court sticking their nose into our lives – unconstitutionally. The above issues are NOT enumerated power of the Congress.

This rotten court has taken it upon itself to interpret legislation it as they please because most American people are constitutionally ignorant and accept big government; that’s all they’ve ever known. Communism is too smart. Once they got control of education, the media, plus the communist-dominated Hollywood . . . our freedom and liberties began to fade; it was just a matter of time. Ever since 9-11, 2001, it’s been one unconstitutional law after another passed by Congress and upheld by “activist” judges who apparently are OK with a police state.

Through the years the Court has ruled several times about the constitutionality of campaign contributions. Google Buckley v. Valeo 424 U.S. 1 (1976) and the recent Citizens United v. Federal Elections Commission are just two. The Court, in its “activism” declared that the 1st Amendment prohibits government from restricting political independent expenditures by corporations, Associations, or Labor Unions.

I’m too impatient to do research but as far as I can tell I don’t see any restrictions that a State legislature can’t restrict donations outside one’s district. Even if government declares you can’t restrict campaign contributions, the federal government cannot interfere with a State proposing an amendment. We have that power, thanks to our Founding Fathers. States have the constitutional right to pass Amendments without Congress’s participation: Art. 5 – The Amendment process follows.

“The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, . . .”(There is more to this – google Article 5 U.S. Constitution. The underlined is my main point)

When criminals, ordered by the elite to support and pass the 17th Amendment giving the people direct voting of U.S. Senators, people were elated they were now able to vote for Senators directly. Little did they understand, and still don’t, that once in Congress politicians are overwhelmed by corruption and money . . . and bullshit constituents back home.

The communists in the media forever play the class warfare card by criticizing donors like the Koch brothers (billionaires) but never tell you of the almost billion dollars unions have contributed to their communist politicians since the year 2000. Think of all the support the socialist/communist welfare system gets from the media complex – free!

If I could add an Amendment to the Constitution it would be to restrict political contributions to politicians outside their district; regardless what the Supreme Court would say, they are not the law of the land – you are! You want proof? Familiarize yourself with the 9th and 10th Amendments in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the 5th Article – the Amendment process. And, as an added tamale power you have the vote. My Amendment would be as follows – simplistically, of course.

No U.S. House of Representative may receive money outside his district. No U.S. Senator could receive money from out-of-state. No president could accept money from overseas. That’s it – plain and simple like me.

No more would people back home wonder who’s is getting what and from whom. All local contributions would be published. Why should we let politicians become rich illegally as they do in Washington, D.C.? U.S. corporations don’t vote in our states; and yet they get all these favors worth billions from your criminal representatives.

As far as to what the Court would say – they have no legal standing when it comes to Amendments by the people. When they said money was “free speech” they didn’t rule where it could be donated or not. Regardless, we have the power but have forgotten how to use it. Today’s article points out the corruption between big business and criminals in Congress and the Black House.

There is move afoot for a Convention of the States – absent the Congress. It’s called the Liberty Amendment. Put together by a lawyer and talk-show-host Mark Levin. It’s gaining momentum. It has several Amendments you’d enjoy but it doesn’t address my campaign fund restrictions. There I go again, chili dreaming. But some dreams come true – don’t they. Think of a community organizer that’s disorganizing America.

THE PUBLIC WELFARE SHOULD COME FIRST (By Ryan Alexander – President of Taxpayers for Common Sense)

Oil and gas companies are extracting gas from federal lands (yours) and paying nothing for much of it, according to new Taxpayers for Common Sense report. One of our most troubling findings was that gas companies drilling on federal lands have avoided paying over $380 million in royalties to U.S. taxpayers on the fuel they have extracted over the past eight years.

Like most subsidies for the gas and oil industry, the provision that allows companies to avoid paying royalties on gas they use as fuel for their drilling rigs is decades old. During WW2, the federal government, in search of more revenue, wanted to start charging oil and gas companies a royalty on the gas they were using as a fuel on well sites.

When the industry protested, Congress rolled over. The Mineral Leasing Act was subsequently amended in 1946 with language directly provided by industry lobbyists to permanently exempt this fuel from royalty payments. At the time, Congress presented the change as a way to promote public resource development. The result? Royalty free-fuel for oil and gas companies joined the growing list of financial incentives enjoyed by the most profitable industry in the world.

The Bureau of Land Management, the Department of Interior agency that administers drilling on federal lands, is considering updating the rules for what kinds of gas should incur a royalty payment. It’s been almost 70 years since Congress vote into law the exemption for royalty payments on the gas that companies use as fuel. Maybe it was an important part of the calculation in 1946, but it’s hard to believe it plays a significant role in the decision of where and when to drill in today’s market.

Individual companies must weigh trends in the global price of gas, the location of a drilling site, its distance to the market, the type of formation where the gas is held, how much processing it will need, etc., when considering the probability of drilling a particular well. In other words, giving oil and gas companies’ royalty-free fuel is a waste of taxpayer money. And when you add up the amount of lost revenue, year after year, for all drilling on all federal lands, it comes to a significant loss for taxpayers.

With annual budget deficits still in the half-trillion-dollar range, Uncle Sam can’t afford to keep giving freebies to some of the most profitable companies in the world. (The end)

Unfortunately, only a small percentage of millions of American people care about the screwing we’re getting because of corporate “bribery,” the criminal Supreme Court calls “free speech.” Another example, of hundreds, is the NFL. It makes $9 billion per year and doesn’t pay one penny in taxes. Even for those of us who want to believe we’re on top of everything can’t possible know of all crimes being committed in the “House” of the people.

Many concerned citizens (including me) have presented ideas how to correct things but reality arises: Things take too long to manifest. We’re being destroyed every day. There must be a way to unite thousands of people locally in cities and states to combat this lawlessness by the three branches of government.

There are many, many groups, seeking constitutional government but are too splintered. What would be ideal would be to unite all “little groups” into one; take over the State Party headquarters and control who comes and goes to the Congress. Forget about the Democratic Party – it’s already taken by the Communists.

We can begin today. Call your Republican congressional representative and demand that he votes to relieve Speaker Boehner from the leadership position. He and Sen. McConnell have betrayed us. We voted for them to eliminate as much of Obamacare as possible and stop Obama’s amnesty. And what did they do – they capitulated to Obama . . . they failed us.

We have nowhere to turn other than to the phone or email; we must let representatives know that we’re fed up and we can’t go on like this without representation. Witness how the communist Democratic Party hardly ever has the same kind of problem. They never attack each other whereas Repussycans attack each other constantly.

The numbers to call to contact your rep in Congress is the switchboard – 202-224-3121. The other number is 202-225-3121. It only takes a minute or two. Would you do it for your country? I love you America.

Quote of the day: “Let us never forget that government is ourselves and not an alien power over us. The ultimate rulers of our democracy are not a President and senators and congressmen and government officials, but the voters of the country.” (FDR)
